BIO / VERONICA HEIN

Hi, I’m Veronica Hein — a multidisciplinary creative based in Brooklyn, NY. I’m always excited to keep growing, collaborating, and making work that feels honest and human. For me, creating is all about connection, vulnerability, and the synergy of teamwork.

Originally from central Illinois, I moved to New York City to study film at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where I earned my BFA in May 2024.

What defines me most as an artist is my adaptability. I love exploring and refining my creative voice across many different forms — from directing, acting, and sound mixing to writing. So far, I’ve directed two narrative short films and a music video, with more in the works. As an actor, I’ve played a wide range of roles, from leads to background, and I love diving into scripts to discover new characters. I also work professionally as an on-set sound mixer, owning and operating my own gear and booking gigs regularly.

But writing is truly the heartbeat of my creativity, it’s what keeps me grounded and inspired. Whether I’m working on screenplays, poetry, or personal reflections, writing is how I connect with my inner voice. I’m currently preparing to release my first book of poetry and prose this spring, and I'm in production for a comedy short I’ve written and directed.

I know my creative path is not everyone’s cup of tea. Some say I should pick one path, find a through-line, stick to a single passion, but that’s never felt right to me. I believe that creation has no limits and if you feel the pull to do it all, why not follow it? I am more than excited to continue broadening my horizons and creating, always with an open heart and a smile on my face.
